These are the words spoken by the ancestors of our culture—the originators.
Many of which are still alive, but this is not where these principles began.
These are ancient principles.

The Dojo aims to make this area a beacon for the world. Letting the culture
know that not only is this a safe haven for those that call them self Hip Hop,
but we are as well some of the baddest MF's in the world when it comes to;
Emceeing, deejaying, breaking, graffiti, beatboxing, language, fashion,
entrepreneurialism and consciousness (the knowledge.) These are the
recognized elements of Hip Hop and I want all of these represented one way
or another.

The Dojo is a monthly open mic event that features headlining performances
from local veteran artists. Its drive is to provide a space for artists to stretch
their skills and to provide a community dedicated to furthering their craft.

In coordination with the Blind Pig, The Dojo also participates with national
touring performers, opening up even more possibilities for our area's 
talented local artists.
